"We like to say it's almost a mini-version of what you find up on the hill," said University of Utah Health Care spokeswoman Marissa Villasenor.
The 200,000-square-foot facility is one of the U.'s largest community clinics, along with the South Jordan Health Center that opened in 2012, which BHB also had the privilege of engineering.
"That was the first phase of really branching out," said Villasenor, who said the Farmington Health Center is similar to the South Jordan center.
The U. is focusing on expanding to areas of Utah where it doesn't have a large footprint. Right now, the U.'s only presence in Davis County has been a small clinic in Centerville.
