The esteemed Sports Medicine Research and Testing Laboratory (SMRTL) is one of the few laboratories in the United States accredited to test for performance-enhancing drugs at all competition levels, including Olympic. Because SMRTL's crucial work could not be disrupted, the construction timeline faced critical deadlines that could not be modified. Built into a hillside and supported by rammed aggregate piers, this project had no shortage of challenges, but our engineers worked closely with the contractor to meet the required timeline. This project exemplifies the power of teamwork between design and construction trades working together for a common objective.
